New innings for Elford buyers as Elan offers Interiors inspiration
Buyers looking for a new home in Elford are sure to be bowled over by a new show home with a bedroom inspired by the nearby cricket club.
Featuring just 25 homes, Seven Acres is an intimate development from Elan Homes.
Initially the properties were sold off plan, but a professionally styled and fully furnished show home is now open to offer buyers an insight into the quality and finish they can expect from Elan.
Tracey Ball, sales director for Elan Homes Midlands, said: “The response to our Seven Acres development has been fantastic, right from when we announced plans to build here. Many of the homes have been snapped up quickly, with eager buyers making early bird reservations to give them first refusal for properties when they’re released for sale. Feedback from those who’ve viewed the show home already is that they’ve been knocked for six by the quality and finish and can’t wait to move here. The cricket themed bedroom, inspired by Elford Cricket Club, which is less than half a mile away, has been a real talking point.”
The Grosvenor show bungalow is a modern and well-proportioned three-bedroom detached home.
The living areas are to one side of the property, including a spacious lounge with bay window at the front; open-plan kitchen and dining area with two sets of French doors leading into the rear garden; plus, a handy utility room.
On the opposite side of the hallway, are three bedrooms, one with en-suite, plus the bathroom.
Elan enlisted experts from Edward Thomas Interiors to style the show home.
Managing director Andy Richardson described the property as having “an elegant and refined interior” with mirrored furniture, oversized light fittings and velvet fabrics injecting a sense of glamour.
The colour palette includes shades of burgundy, olive and tan alongside chrome and gold accents for a modern twist.
“The kitchen/diner is bright and spacious, and ideal for entertaining, so we have included a six-seater dining table with velvet button-back chairs together with a wall-mounted bar. In the living room, we’ve shown how wood panelling and wallpapering can be used to create depth and establish an intimate, homely setting,” Andy explained.
“The main and guest bedrooms are styled with a luxurious hotel feel. The main has a striking botanical wallpaper to frame the studded velvet headboard; while the guest has an upholstered buttoned bed, mirrored bedside cabinets and abstract wall art.”
In the third bedroom the designers have taken inspiration from nearby Elford Cricket Club.
“We’ve had some fun with this room,” Andy added. “We’ve used locker style furniture, added cricket bat wall stickers and created a headboard upcycled from old cricket bats.”
The main bathroom features Mulberry wallpaper repeating the brand’s signature tree icon.
Current availability at Seven Acres includes two to four-bedroom properties, priced from £210,000 to £585,000. Homes priced up to £425,000 are now Stamp Duty free for first time buyers, while home movers won’t have to pay the tax on properties priced up to £250,000.
