Local housebuilder treats Middlesbrough care home residents to Afternoon Tea
Care home residents in Middlesbrough have been treated to a donation of Afternoon Tea thanks to 5 star housebuilder, Barratt Developments North East.
Residents at Nunthorpe Oaks Residential Home received a selection of freshly made sandwiches, scones, cakes and other sweet treats from Barratt Developments North East to celebrate the nation's favourite tradition.
Prepared by The Tea House in Middlesbrough, the hampers were donated to encourage the residents to come together and boost morale. Barratt Developments North East, which has its Grey Towers Village development nearby, regularly supports the local community with donations and runs fun and educational activities with schools.
Susan Carter, Home Manager at Nunthorpe Oaks Residential Home said: “It was such a treat. We’re hugely grateful to Barratt Developments North East for giving our residents an enjoyable afternoon. Activities that bring everyone together are really important for our residents as they are significant in improving mental and social wellbeing.”
Carl Sobolewski, Managing Director of Barratt Developments North East added: “We’re really pleased we’ve been able to make a difference to the residents’ week with this donation. We’re committed to supporting the communities in which we build and improving the lives of people living close to our developments is something we’re continuing to focus on.”
