Ready, Set, Grow: Dandara Donates Seeds and Plant Pots to Local Cubs and Rainbows
To celebrate World Bee Day and National Gardening Week, independent housebuilder Dandara has donated bee friendly plant pots and seeds to Gwendraeth Valley Cubs and Pontyates Rainbows as part of its campaign to celebrate gardening.
This year’s gardening week theme, ‘Knowledge is Flower’, aims to raise awareness of the difference that gardening can make in the lives of everyone, helping to inspire the next generation of gardeners to experience the joy of creating and growing green spaces.
The donation from Dandara, who are building homes nearby at Golwg Gwendraeth, will encourage the children to get outside and involved in fun outdoor projects as the warmer months approach. Consisting of bee friendly plant pots, Royal Horticultural Society wildflowers and Red Trokia and Sonate Carmine flower seeds, the donation will help make the outdoor space full of colour and insect-friendly.
Joanne Thomas, Gwendraeth Valley Cubs Leader, commented: “The planting activity was such a great session utilising such sustainable and eco-friendly materials, whilst planting beautiful flowers. We want to thank Dandara for the kind donation!”
Sara Taylor, Sales Director at Dandara Wales & West, commented: “We are pleased to support the local Cubs and Rainbows and provide resources to help them learn about the importance of gardening and looking after nature. Planting bee-friendly flowers is a great interactive way to help make outdoor spaces blossom; we hope that the groups enjoy the kits, and we look forward to seeing the garden come to life.”
Currently available at Golwg Gwendraeth is a selection of two, three and four bedroom homes, with prices from £199,9995.
