L&Q Launches New Homes in Major New Regeneration Scheme for Catford with Exclusive Open Day
On Saturday 23rd March, L&Q hosted an open day to launch the latest phase of new homes at Excalibur – a collection of one- and two-bedroom apartments available through Market Sale in Catford, South East London.
The event offered a glimpse into life at Excalibur. L&Q unveiled a brand-new show home and showcased the collection of one- and two-bedroom Market Sale apartments. Attendees were able to find out more about the new homes whilst enjoying a selection of refreshments from London based caterer, Café Santiago.
L&Q’s launch of 45 Market Sale apartments will be closely followed by a mix of Shared Ownership homes, which will feature deposits from just £7,900 for a one-bedroom apartment.

These new homes form part of the unique multiphase regeneration of the Excalibur Estate, which could eventually see 186 prefabricated bungalows transformed into approximately 390 new homes available through Market Sale, Shared Ownership and affordable rent. Originally constructed in 1946 to meet housing need during the post-war housing crisis, the original estate comprised a collection of prefabricated bungalows which were designed with a projected lifespan of approximately 10 years.
