Safety First: Dandara Hosts Poster Competition at Local Cardiff School
Independent housebuilder Dandara recently hosted a safety poster competition at St Mellons CIW primary school, located close to Dandara’s Sant Silian development on Bridge Road, Cardiff.
Showcasing their brilliant art skills, the pupils designed posters to help promote construction site safety, with the participating pupils receiving sweets from the housebuilder, and the winners book vouchers.
To thank the pupils for their hard work Dandara also donated and installed two flag poles at St Mellons CIW school, and provided a hamper for the school’s raffle.
Sara Taylor, Sales Director for Dandara Wales & West, commented: “A huge well done to all the pupils who participated in the poster competition, it was great to see such creative designs showcasing the importance of being safe around construction sites.”
“We are so pleased to work with schools like St Mellons CIW to share the best site safety practices and encourage responsible behaviour around building sites. The range of entries was really impressive and we’re pleased the pupils had so much fun designing their posters.”
Class teacher Mrs Williams from St Mellons CIW primary school added: “Our pupils really enjoyed working on the posters and we were proud to see so many great designs submitted. We’d also like to thank Dandara for their donation of the flag poles, as well as the hamper which was raffled at our Christmas Fayre.”
