Tea-licious! Local homebuilder treats Meltham care home residents for Afternoon Tea Week
Care home residents in Meltham have been treated to a donation of Afternoon Tea thanks to 5 Star Homebuilder, David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West.
Residents at Greenacres Care Home received a selection of freshly made sandwiches, scones, cakes and other sweet treats from David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West to celebrate Afternoon Tea Week which took place from the 8th to the 14th of August.
Prepared by Secret Cottage Tea Room, the hampers were donated to the residents so that they could enjoy some time together during Afternoon Tea Week. David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West, which has its Scotgate Ridge development in Honley, regularly supports the local community with donations and runs fun and educational activities with nearby schools.
Verity Taylor, the General Manager at Greenacres Care Home said: “It was such a treat. We’re hugely grateful to David Wilson Homes Yorkshire West - our residents have had an enjoyable afternoon. Activities that bring everyone together are really important for our residents as it encourages them to live each day to the fullest, and create lasting friendships.”
